There was so much to learn and a test was given after each course. Phone calls: notes, paper work, language - EVERYTHING was graded. The staff: Everyone would gossip about one another. They had so much dirt on one another."

They state they are a family oriented company however if you have kids or a family situation they do not work with you on your schedule or time off. You also feel like a bad employee if you have to take off due to a child or family member being ill. The company shows favoritism towards employees that have been there the longest. They do not pay based on your knowledge with the company they base it on how well the higher managers like you. There is no where to advance to in the company, they just want someone that is going to sit in the seat and do their job and have no aspirations to advance."

She would hover over your shoulder and nitpick if you made a mistake asking you why you made the mistake. It was like working with doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. By the time I tried to complain to my case manager who left the company at my staffing agency I was unable to transfer out. They told me to wait it out and hang in there. Not long after my assignment was complete. Cons: manager was a crazy maker"

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"First off Wolters Kluwer is a good company that has good growth potential and most people are great to work with - HOWEVER as you avoid the customer service department in the Hagerstown office. When I first started, I immediately was taken in by one of the managers that was very welcoming and wanted to see me succeed. Just a few months before I started I was told that the company just had relocated to the Citi building. However, I started to notice a change once I was pulled from the online support team and put into customer service. Many of the women in the customer service department were bullies. They could not separate work life from personal life. My supervisor had a thing for favoritism on our team. She would let her favorites leave early and others she would make stay after their time to leave to clean up phone calls. I noticed how the rules started to become extremely strict to the point where we could no longer take a few moments to write notes for a customer. Ridiculous policies were put into place that made us stay hours after our scheduled time to leave and take over our personal time. We were to get them done in a minute and if we decided to take anymore time, they would come over and scold us for it. It also came down on limited time to use the restroom which is extremely unprofessional and illegal for a workplace. Cons: Favoritism, rules, people"
